<description>Can someone tell me why Homo Antecessor is not a fully anatomically modern human being? Why is he any different than anyone?

Reply:

Thank you for the question. This is my first first reply and I&#039;m very happy to help you !!!!
The Homo Antecessor surely is not a modern Human (Homo sapiens) for a lot of anatomic differences.
There is a question between scientists about if this specie can be considered a Homo heidelbergensis (founded in the same area but 300.000 years older) because description of H. antecessor is based on a juvenile specimen.
The differences between H. antecessor and H. sapiens (and others specie of genus Homo) are due to an unique combination of cranial, mandibular, and dental traits.
You could find more detailed information on the scientific article of &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/abstract/276/5317/1392&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;Bermúdez de Castro et al. 1997 &lt;/a&gt;(it&#039;s a free access article).
